Ammonia Treatment

Fifty gallon per minute ammonia stripper installed at SMIC in China. 2000ppm in < 30 ppm out at 0 degrees C.

The ammonia stripper above is installed at SMIC, a large semiconductor manufacturer, in Shanghai, China.  The system removes ammonia from the plants wastewater by stripping it from the water and adsorbing it in ammonia sulfate brine. The semiconductor manufacturing process uses ammonia in many processes, which result high concentrations of ammonia in the plants wastewater. High ammonia concentrations can cause depleted oxygen and algae blooms in rivers and lakes.  This system treats 50 gallons per minute and removes 98% of the ammonia from the wastewater entering the system with and outside ambient temperatures near zero Celsius.
