Aluminum
Aluminum can be found in anodizing and plating shop wastewater. Although it normally is unregulated as a metal, it may be present in large enough quantities to affect the performance of the wastewater treatment plant or water recycling plant. It is often added to wastewater as a coagulant to promote precipitation of other compounds.
